Testimonios

An easily scalable primary mental health care pathway was constructed for migrants, based on innovative techniques validated by international scientific literature. The main focus is the stabilization of the central nervous system and guidelines for interpersonal relationships in community integration. The two main practice areas are mind-body strategies and restorative practices.

To complement and substantiate this process with relevant quantitative information, a longitudinal study was conducted in three cities, along with a biometric measurement in four cities. The latter was applied to migrant populations participating in psychosocial care sessions using heart rate variability techniques and facial micro-expression analysis—pioneering tools in the country and Latin America. This study was carried out in collaboration with the Externado de Colombia University and its Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Human Sciences and Processes, as well as the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ohio State University (currently under peer review for academic publication).

The program featured the first biometric measurement in Latin America, demonstrating that the central nervous system of participants stabilized, and their vagal flexibility significantly increased in just three months.
