The objective of the project is to strengthen the rural economy through the implementation of agroecological gardens in the Viotá territory, as a commitment to reconciliation and peacebuilding.
Short and medium-term goals include:
Diversify food production in an agroecological way, to achieve food sovereignty.
Strengthen the rural economy in the territory by creating spaces for solidarity and reconciliation.
Recover ancestral knowledge within communities regarding natural medicine and self-care.
Affirming the historical role of women in the territory and in society.
Mitigate dependence on external inputs and agrochemicals in production through the application of agroecological practices and principles.
Establish a schedule for accompaniment from the Association to provide agroecological assistance to families in their production processes.
Create alternative marketing spaces through the organization of farmers' markets and barter."
